The most expensive games are: Final Fantasy IV (around 20$), Final Fantasy Dimensions (around 18$) and Final Fantasy III (around 15$).
These games are remakes after the old games released by Squaresoft in the early 90’s.
Why are so expensive? The high amount of work can be an answer. But also the fact that any Final Fantasy fan would want to play any of these games.
Square Enix is just boosting the price because the fans would pay any amount of money to play the games and those that never heard about the Final Fantasy franchise would not pay anything? And maybe is more profitable to sell an expensive game in a shorter amount than sell it cheap in high amounts.
Other expensive games? I’ve noticed NFS Most Wanted or Fifa 12 for 6$ but from 6$ to 15$ or even 20$ is a long way. There are no games except these three that are more expensive than 7-8$.
