Pizza Tycoon 2 can sometimes crashes without any reason.
I have tried with the save game file on three different computers, running Windows 7, 10, 11.
In all cases, the game crashes at a certain time in the game.
When the game is reaching that time, it will crash to desktop.
After searching online, it seems that nobody has any solution.
There are no patches for this game which was released in the past decade.
However, I was able to continue playing the campaign and get rid of the crash that was happening in Moscow in my case.
What I did was to reload a previous save game from the previous city.
Then I finished that mission and played once again from scratch, the Moscow mission.
This time, the game didn’t crashed at all.
Considering that the campaigns from Pizza Tycoon 2 (Pizza Connection 2) are somehow random regarding the starting location, it might be the case that at some point, something is happening in the game, which is causing a crash.
On my second attempt at the Moscow mission, the crash didn’t happened.
It seems that if you replay the mission from the beginning, there is a good chance that the game will not crash at all.
So far, I have reached the Tokyo mission, which is the 8th mission.
There was just one crash in Moscow from all the missions.
I would recommend to get the game from GOG or Steam.
These are the best versions of the game.
Pizza Tycoon 2 crashes at launch?
Another issue that might happen with the game is if you cannot start it at all, or it starts and then it crashes right away.
In this case, just right click on the icon and pick “Compatibility mode Windows XP Service Pack 3”.
Also “Run as administrator”.
This way, the game should run on any modern system.
As I said, I tested the game on Windows 7, 10, 11 and it works, except the crash mentioned in the article.
