Bioshock Infinite better than Bioshock 1?

Bioshock Infinite better than Bioshock 1?

I was reading some comments on a gaming website where some users were saying that the 96% score for Bioshock Infinite obtained on Metacritic is making some kind of injustice to the first Bioshock.

I remember playing Bioshock 1 in 2007 when it was released. I only played like the first 2-3 levels because there was nothing interesting to see.

And now that I’ve finished Bioshock Infinite, I thought that I should give it a try once again. And after 5-6 levels, this game is mediocre at best. Is just another first person shooter in a stylish environment. Most of the gameplay is taking place without seeing the transparent glass, the water. There are just plain rooms. There are no cutscenes, no friendly characters with who you can interact, no relaxing moments when you don’t have to shoot things, nothing compared to what we have in Bioshock Infinite.

But, it is a good old school first person shooter, you get plenty of action. Those looking to shoot things should be fine with the game.

Bioshock 1 could have been on the same level as Infinite if we had for example another start. Our character visiting Rapture when this was a normal and wonderful underwater city, before chaos took place. The shooting action made more interesting and complex.

The graphic style and level design made more artistic. An underwater city has more potential than a city in the sky. More characters, more interaction, more everything. Bioshock 1 is too plain while Bioshock Infinite is a masterpiece.
