Besides the driving, here are a few reasons why GTA 4 is bad.
1. Nico’s animation (our main character). It’s too realistic, too annoying. Nico should run with the same speed all the time. The physics are making Nico to walk/run like a disabled person.
2. Graphic style. Also too realistic, and it affects the gameplay. You get bored of all the gray-brown color palette. There are no flashing lights or cartoonish graphic style that is so friendly.
3. Too many things to do outside the actual main story. Go bowling, go to the clothes store etc. GTA should not be sims. Too many features like this is a bad idea, players just want a fun story with a great gameplay like we had in GTA Vice City or San Andreas.
4. The radio stations have become worse since Vice City. No more atmospheric music, the 80’s music from Vice City was beyond epic.
5. Get rid of thematic characters. Nico and his Russian gang was a bad choice. Give us a Tommy Vercetty with no personality.
