GTA Vice City mouse, 2 monitors not working?

If you try to play GTA Vice City in 2021, most likely you have two monitors, and playing the game with such setup will not work.

If you want to play GTA Vice City on Windows 10, 7 or Windows 8, you might encounter some compatibility related issues.

1. If you have 2 or 3 monitors, the mouse cursor will not work in the game.

2. Sometimes the mouse will get stuck, you won’t be able to turn the camera left or right.

For the first issue, download this free software called “SwapScreen” from here.

How to use SwapScreen?

In order to use SwapScreen: launch the program, it will appear as an icon is Sistray, click on the icon > cursor tab > “lock cursor unto screen” > change > assign a keybind like “Shift + up key”.

When you launch GTA Vice City, press “Shift + up key”, the cursor will stay on your monitor that is displaying the game.

The second issue. From the game’s shortcut > right click > properties > compatibility > enable “run this program in compatibility mode for: Windows 98 / Windows ME” > apply.

Enjoy your game. If you have other issues, leave in the comments.

Other than playing the game with these fixes, you might want to be aware that Rockstar Entertainment is working on remastering the classic GTA games.

GTA 3, GTA Vice City and GTA San Andreas.

A realease date for the remastered version is unknown at this time.

However, Rockstar has said that the remastered games will keep the old feeling, but they will receive certain visual updates that will provide a more enjoyable experience.

The classic GTA games had a unique graphic style.

The gameplay was simple and fun, sometimes more relaxing that the later GTA games, IV and V.

However, it is also sad to see that Rockstar is not announcing GTA VI.

Many companies rather remaster old games than develop new ones, as Blizzard has done for example.
