I was one of those that were really happy to hear that Terraria was ported on Android. One of the few indie games that I really liked. Only to find out that the gameplay is not that great.
Here are the issues that I’ve found about the game.
It’s quite ugly on phones and 7 inches tablets. The resolution is so small that I barely can see what is happening on the map. Of course that we have the zoom-in/out option but it’s really annoying to zoom-in all the time, plus that the graphics are becoming awful at full zoom-in.
Looks like the only way to play the game is to do it on a 10 inches tablet.
The controls. It’s much harder with the touch controls, rather than using the mouse and move keys from a keyboard.
There is a demo available on Google Play. It only has a small tutorial that doesn’t show much.
The price for the full version is 3,76 euro / around 4-5$.
If you’re a Terraria fan, try the demo first, you might not like how the touch/small size screen gameplay works.
Download the demo from here, you can upgrade it later from inside the game.
