Here are my Path of Exile Marauder tips and tricks, after playing the game for quite a while.
The marauder class seems to be the easiest class to play, at least in the beginning of the game.
You don’t have to kite or use abilities.

It depends on your play style. If you want a dps marauder that will play with a 2 handed weapon or if you want to play your character as a tank, with 1 handed weapon and shield.
Besides this, you can focus on assigning points to specific weapons like maces or axes.
Notice that some abilities can only be performed with certain weapons. “Cleave” can only be performed with axes while with maces, you can use the “ground slam” ability for AOE.
If you want a full brute marauder, go for 2 handed mace build.
I’ve focused on maximizing my damage and from the start I have assigned points into +10 strength. After 8-9 locations, at level 10, I can one-shot all the normal mobs and almost all the special mobs.
Stats. Priority order: strength, hit-points, armor.
