These are the hunter class changes for patch 5.2.
Global changes
Dismiss Pet now has a cast time of 3 seconds (was 2 seconds).
Powershot now cancels Camouflage when the cast begins.
Steady Shot now deals 20% more damage.
Marksmanship
Aimed Show now deals 10% more damage.
Chimera Shot now deals 25% more damage and heals the Hunter for 5% (was 3%) of their total health.
Survival
Black Arrow now deals 10% more damage.
Explosive Shot now deals 10% more damage.
Powershot will be fixed. No more blank shots.
Nerfs: Silencing Shot will have a 24 seconds cooldown, up from 20.
Buffs: 25% more dmg from Chimera Shot. 10 more dmg from Aimed Shot. 20% more dmg from Steady Shot.
Glyph of Marked for death is now removed and the effect will be auto-applied when you use Arcane Shot, Chimera Shot Kill Command or Explosive Shot. So, 5% more dmg from ranged attacks.
With the damage buff and the new stats from the next gear set, MM is definitely viable.
Battlegrounds
After doing battlegrounds for a few hours as marksman, all I can say is that MM is awesome once again.
Doing all these: Rapid Fire, Powershot, Chimera Shot, Arcanes, is devastating. There have been a few times when I was able to one-shot players with Powershot and Chimera Shot.
For battlegrounds, the best talents/glyphs combo for Marskman is: Posthaste, Silencing Shot, Aspect of the Iron Hawk, Thrill of the hunt, Lynx Rush and Powershot.
Glyphs: Mirrored blades, Camouflage and Liberation.
For addons, all the old versions are working. I use Power Auras Classic (a very old version from Cataclysm) that still works like a dream. Hunter focus bar and Tidy Plates.
I hope Ghostcrawler won’t nerf Marksman because as the spec stands now, is insanely powerful and fun to play.
