How to set up a WoW hunter Pet assist or defensive macro?
“Pet Assist” is one of the few things that we didn’t talked during the PTR because there is pretty much no difference.
People are already complaining on the forums.
Aggressive pet mode was removed.
The only times when it was usable and really handy to use was when camping low level players with the pet.
What exactly you should do?
Create a WoW hunter pet assist or defensive macro?

Assign the macro trough keybinds to the most easy to press key, for example “Q” or “1”.
Mostly “Q” is the best choice.
That way, when a rogue is attacking, you press the “Q” key as soon as possible and the pet will attack right away.
The same goes for every fight, send the pet first (sending the pet to attack is the first thing that needs to be done, always).
Don’t macro /petattack with “Hunter’s mark” if you do PVP, because it will consume a global cooldown and if you switch a target, you will waste valuable time.
For a pet defensive macro, just create the macro:

/petdefensive
