ePSXe controller gamepad not working in game, Logitech?

What to do if the ePSXe controller gamepad is not working in game?

If you plug your controller into your PC and ePSXe doesn’t recognize it and it won’t respond to commands, you can use a third party software called “JoyToKeys”.

You can download this program from here.

Also, there is a tutorial that teaches you how to use it.

After you download “JoyToKeys“, all you need to do is to map the ePSXe keys.

Here is my mapping, that is pretty much accurate as if the controller would work by default.

Left: Arrow-left
Right: Arrow-right
Up: Arrow-up
Down: Arrow-down
B1: D
B2: Z
B3: Z
B4: X
B5: V
B6: C
B7: S

You can plug the controller in any USB port, 2.0, 3.0, it will not matter.

You don’t need to change the gamepad settings from Epsxe at all.

Now, even if the ePSXe controller gamepad is not working in game, you can use this trick in order to play emulated games to your PC.

Setting up “JoyToKeys” might sound difficult, but it’s actually very easy to set up and use.

Just remember to leave it running while you start and play the game.

I’ve used it on all the Final Fantasy games that I’ve played on ePSXe, emulated on my computer and it worked great every time.
