A Plague Tale Innocence is it good, worth it?

I haven’t played a more frustrating game in a while.

The end level made me realize that I was pushing to finish it for nothing. If the difficulty was decent for most of the game, even though hard at some times, the end level is terrible.

There are times where you have to repeat a scenery even 50 times. There is no save and even if you have killed like 5 enemies, if the 6th one catches you, you have to go all over again. This is called maximum frustration.

And summed with the fact that the game starts to feel that is dragging for too long with the same repetitive puzzles and chores, you really want to get to the end to see the revelations, to see something extraordinary. And the ending is disappointing.

When I started playing this game, it shortly felt like it was Witcher’s 3 younger brother and the graphics and tone felt similar. But A Plague Tale: Innocence is far from a serious game.

It doesn’t make it far from an indie minimalist game.

After finishing it, it left me with a bad taste. Wasted time for nothing above average.
Other than the beautiful graphic effects, not the level design which is very bland, and the voice acting, the game is mediocre. The gameplay is frustrating.

Sad to see such potential being wasted.

If you haven’t started this game, I would say to stay away from it, it is a bad experience.
