Recover old Second Life account, deleted?

How to recover an old Second Life account that was maybe deleted?

Second Life was popular many years ago, if you have started an account back then, a character, chances are that you don’t remember the email or the login credentials.

What you need to know regarding recovering an old Second Life account?

Having access to the e-mail address that was used when you have created your Second Life account is not enough to reset the password.

If you don’t know your username (for example: “Markus Rufus”, the username is your Second Life name), you can retrieve it if you know the e-mail address used for your account.

To reset the password, you will need to answer a secret question required by the Second Life system.

You will need to know either your birthplace or you can write three names of your Second Life friends.
Chances are, you will not remember those names.

If you don’t know the answer for these questions, start a support ticket from the Second Life website.

The Second Life support team will ask you to send them some scans or pictures with your identity card or driving licence or any legal document.

They will reset your password if everything is fine with your documents.

They key is to be as polite as you can.

How I’ve recovered my Second Life account?

Personally, I have made a character many years ago and managed to customize it as I liked it, it was not easy to get dances, clothes, appearance items.

Losing that character and starting a new one was not really an option since it would have been a lot of work and trouble.

Not to say that some persons have even invested real money in their character.

One last thing, either it can be nostalgia, you might want to revisit some of the maps, clubs, locations that you have used to go in the past.

You could even bump into old people you used to know.

In conclusion, after sending my identity card, they unlocked my old account and I was able to go to the memorable places I used to go in the past.
