Gods MS Dos on DOSBox? How to play?

How to play Gods, an old MS Dos game, on DOSBox?

This tutorial is for Windows 7, 64 bit, playing an MSDOS video game named “Gods”.
It works just fine on Windwos 10 or Windows 11.

First of all, install DOSBox (free software, it’s an MSDOS emulator).

You can install DOSBox in any place you want on your computer, either in the root of “C:” or in C, “Program Files”.

Download Gods from Abandonia, here, 977kb, or from any reliable source you find on the internet.

Unzip the archive into the root of “C:”, in a folder called “Gods”. (Don’t extract the game’s files without creating the “Gods” folder before).

Open “DOSBox” (it should have a shortcut on desktop).

Write the following commands: (press enter after each command).

————–

mount c C:\Gods

C:

gods

————–

The game should start.

The controls are “space” as enter (execute command, attack).

The keyboard standard arrows are used to move, jump, crunch etc.

You can do the same thing for other MSDOS video games.

I remember playing in 1992 – 1995, games like Budokan, Prehistoric, Price of Persia 1 and 2, Formula 1, Supaplex, CD-Man and many others that I have forgotten.

However, God was a quite a unique game because of the more advanced graphics, music and overall gameplay mechanics.

All in all, this is how Gods MS Dos can be played on DOSBox.

Do you have any suggestions for good MSDOS games or which ones are your favorite?
