Err_ssl_protocol_error localhost Chrome, Xampp, Laragon, Laravel?

Err_ssl_protocol_error localhost Chrome, Xampp, Laragon, Laravel?

I recently got the Err_ssl_protocol_error localhost Chrome, using Laragon.

What you need to know is that if you get this error: Err_ssl_protocol_error localhost in Laragon, there is a very easy fix that you can do.

Run Laragon, do a right click on the Laragon icon from Sis Tray (Windows), click on “Preferences”, go to “Services and Ports” and enable “SSL”, port 403.

Run your website in incognito mode first, it will ask to accept the SSL warning, accept, you will be able to see the website.

Then close the incognito tab.

Open the website from a normal browser tab, write the url of the website in the url bar, hit enter, now it should work.

Some advices regarding the Err_ssl_protocol_error localhost in Laragon

Do a backup first for the files and for your sql database before starting any attempts.

If anything goes wrong, you can also go back and revert.

Another tip: open your WordPress or website database in Notepad and replace all the cases where you have “https”.

That way, the website that you are trying to run on localhost will not point to the https version.

I hope that now you know how to fix this error.
