I was really bored with my barbarian in Diablo 3 and I decided to switch to 2 x 1 handed weapons and attack speed build / gear.
My “attacks per second” value is 2.49, at this time.
Here is a list with gear that has attack speed: (also the gear that I wear at the moment). My character armory link.
Helm: Mempo of Twilight (legendary) – 9%.
Shoulders: it seems that there are no shoulder items with attack speed.
Amulet: there are rare amulets with 9% maximum attack speed.
Chest: Tal Rasha’s Relentless Pursuit (green set) – 8 or 9%.
Hands: Tasker and Theo (legendary) – 9%.
Belt: The Witching Hour (legendary) – 8 or 9%.
Bracers: Lacuni Prowlers (legendary) – 9%.
Rings: there are rings with maximum 9% attack speed.
Pants: Inna’s Temperance (green set) – 8 or 9%.
Boots: it seems that there are no shoulder items with attack speed.
Weapons: both of my weapons have 11% attack speed. I have “Bul-Kathos’s solemn vow”, green set weapon, and a rare weapon.
Both have life per hit which is very important for the attack speed build.
I tried playing with 2 x 1 handed spears that had no life per hit and I was doing really bad at surviving.
Skills
Frenzy / Vanguard.
Ignore Pain / Iron Hide.
Sprint / Marathon.
WarCry / Charge
Wrath of the Berserker / Insanity.
Revenge / Provocation.
Passive skills:
Berserker Rage / Bloodthirst / Brawler.
I only play in public games so my damage is not that important.
