Volkswagen Polo oil level check?

Volkswagen Polo oil level check?

Here is how you can determine the Volkswagen Polo oil level check.

We are talking about pretty much all the Volkswagen cars, Polo 9N, Golf 4, 5, 6, Bora, Passat and also Skoda and Seat since they all share the same VW German engineering.

Check the picture.

There are three levels on the dipstick.

A, B and C.

Start the car and keep it going for about 3-5 minutes. Then open the hood.

Insert the dipstick, remove it and wipe with with a napkin.

Then insert it back and inspect the oil level, you should have something as in this picture.

As you can see, my level is in the middle, so it in “B”.

Oil levels

If the level is in “A”, you don’t need to add any oil.

If on level “B”, add around 0.5L of oil.

If the level is on “C”, add around 1L of oil. On this level, you should add oil as soon as possible.

Get the correct oil for your car, ask from where they sell oil.

Add oil little by little, checking often the level, until you reach the “A” level.
Once you reach “A”, stop. The car has enough oil at that point.

Usually, all the Volkswagen cars after 2000 have an oil level sensor that lights up if you need to add oil.

You should see it in the dashboard.
