Many years passed since the release of the World of Warcraft related episode for South Park. The episode is still funny, there are some intentioned ironic flaws, funny moments that we see even today, what the game has become since that episode.
Since World of Warcraft has been up for so much time, probably nobody is playing 24/7 because the lack of content, motivation, and also rewards.
The fat guy who was killing all the other players can now be compared with the current state of PVP. Frustration. People saying that they quit the game in Season 9 like the SP kids saying they were going to do. The difference is that they kept playing trying to beat the fat guy.
The flaws and funny moments:
– Kyle’s dad being a hunter, having a rogue ability on the action bar and a shield equipped
– Exploring the Tower of Azura with a big party of Night Elves, funny, nothing there to see
– The Blizzard CEOs saying that the fat guy killed nearly 4k players in Arathi Highlands
– The fat guy being a mage, hitting with a dagger, summoning scorpions (no class can summon scorpions)
– Killing boars is impossible to level too much as gray mobs won’t give any experience
– Cartman displaying rogue abilities and having a 2 handed mace
– The posters from the kids’s rooms like displaying “Beer”, “No Cows” (probably referring to fat girls)
– Kyle’s dad always appearing having the basic start gear on his “hunter” (noob)
After the episode, Comedy Central (South Park creators) said that they plan to work together with Blizzard to release a new episode, WoW related, many years passed, still no news.
