If you still use Outlook, you might experience the “In reply to end of DATA command” issue.
This issue is related to “Yahoo message not allowed – [320]”.
Outlook Express is the default e-mail client within Windows XP and some users got used to it that they are using it even today in Windows 10.
If you encounter the “In reply to end of DATA command in Outlook” issue, not being able to send emails to any Yahoo e-mail address and receiving a fail send message reply (Message not allowed – [320] (in reply to end of DATA command)), you can check some things.
How to fix the “In reply to end of DATA command Outlook” issue?
Check the following things:
– The date on your computer, if is not set properly, if is 2020 instead of 2021 for example, this will cause the issue.
Other than Yahoo.com, there might be other e-mail services that won’t work if the date is wrong.
– Try sending an e-mail from another computer or device, using the same e-mail address that you use on the computer where Outlook is installed and you can’t send the message from Outlook.
– Try sending the e-mail from the webmail web interface, usually you just need to write the url in the browser, for example http://yourdomain.com/webmail.
The username and password are the same as those that you use in your Outlook Express email account.
If it is working from the web interface and not from Outlook Express as well, it is clear that your computer has an issue and the webhost is working fine.
You can also scan your computer for viruses, check if you have any program that should not be installed from Control Panel.
An alternative could be to install another email client like Thunderbird or switch to a newer version of Outlook Express.
If nothing works, last thing you can do is to reinstall your operating system, which I did in my case, because nothing really worked.
There are many people that still use an Yahoo email account.
Not being able to send emails to Yahoo users might be a serious issue.
In 2021, Yahoo email seem to work great, their interface looks nice and the emails work fine.
But Outlook could experience this issue with Yahoo.
