Being a hugger is the opposite of being a tkr (troop killer). It means that you aim to get as much might as you can and beat the tops.
Here are some tips:
1. Build Tier 2 troops, only tier 2. Because they give the highest amount of might compared to the time required to train them.
2. Never open your city to attackers even if it looks safe.
3. Get lvl 9-10 wilds that will increase your production. Don’t flip wilds. If your wilds gets flipped, ignore and move on. Try to get some wilds in a different part of the map.
Second city tips
1. Build only farms that generate food. Don’t bother with lumber/stone/ore buildings.
2. Upgrade your military buildings so you can train tier 1 troops for start.
3. Generate lumber/stone/ore in your first city and transport these resources to your second city. Transport food from the second city to the first one.
4. Build troops in your second city only when your barracks from the first city are in full queue. Reassign your troops from the second city to the first city so you won’t have any food upkeep and low population issues.
