Windows media player disable subtitles?

There is an issue with Windows Media Player. Sometimes the subtitles won’t turn off, even if you have them disabled.

Here is a quick fix

Run your video, open the systray arrow and look for an icon called “LAV Splitter” (it’s a white square that appears when WMP is running), right click on it and select “No subtitles”. This will usually fix the issue.

Other than this, you should delete the .srt file (the subtitle file) and also right click from Windows Media Player, “Lyrics, captions and subtitles” and turn the option off.
