Selle Italia X1 Saddle Review?

Selle Italia X1 Saddle Review?

Here is my Selle Italia X1 saddle review, after using it for about one month.

The price for this saddle is around 25 dollars / euro.

It is one of the cheapest saddles from this segment from Selle Italia.

Material: it imitates leather but it is artificial / ecological leather.

It feels very stiff at touch and it almost has no padding at all.

Comfort: because this saddle is very stiff, it’s not comfortable at all.

Even though it has that gap in the middle and in the rear, it still creates quite a lot of pressure when you sit on it.

This happens mostly if you have narrow bones.

If your sit bones are wider, get a wider saddle as this one will not be comfortable at all.

Bicycle saddle

This saddle is very light (it has around 290 grams).

You get a very good flow when you ride your bicycle, it inspires speed, but the comfort is just not there.

If you wear special pants for cycling, then it’s all fine, the comfort will not be an issue.

If you don’t, you will experience quite a lot of discomfort even for short rides.

All of this because the saddle is very very stiff and has almost no padding.

It is fine for a racing bicycle but it’s not fine at all for a city bicycle or even a mountain bike that is used for casual riding.

If you look for a comfortable saddle, keep looking, get something with a lot of padding.

The build quality is good, quality materials, overall a good saddle, but you might want to try it before buying it.

Hopefully this Selle Italia X1 saddle review has given you an idea if this saddle is for you or not.
