3Com: default ip: 192.168.1.1, username: admin, password: admin.

TpLink: default ip: 192.168.1.1, username: admin, password: admin.

D-Link: default ip: 192.168.1.1, username: admin, password: (blank password).

Linksys: default ip: 192.168.1.1, username: admin, password: admin.

Microsoft Broadband: default ip: 192.168.2.1, username: admin, password: admin.

Netgear: default ip: 192.168.0.1, username: admin, password: password.

Most of the time, the default ip, username and password for a router is noted on the back of the device, on a sticker.

Another way to find the ip

Another way to find the ip is to have your router connected to your PC, from Windows, click on “Start”, in the search bar type “cmd”. In the CMD interface, type “ipconfig”.

Notice “Default Gateway”. You should see there 192.168.1.1 or something similar. That is the ip of your router. Now open your browser and type: http://192.168.1.1. So you can manage the router’s settings.
