How exactly to add a website to Yandex, and submit a sitemap?
This is the default url from where you can submit your website to Yandex.ru: http://webmaster.yandex.ru/addurl.xml.
The issue is that the captcha code has Russian characters and you will most likely not be able to write them, if you don’t speak Russian.
What you need to do is to create an account, look for the “Login” button from the right corner of the page.
Click on it and then click on “Sign up”.
Create an account and then login.
Now you should see below where it’s saying “Webmaster”, there are two links.
Click on the one called “Add site”.
Type the url of your website > “add site”.
Verify your ownership, you should upload a.txt file on your website (like we also do for Google, for example).
That’s pretty much it.
This is actually the interface for adding websites for non Russian persons.
The Yandex interface is very similar to Google Webmaster Tools.
For anything else, you should contact the Yandex.ru support at support@search.yandex.com, they do reply to the emails.
