How to fix Google Play error code 101?

This error is caused by your auto-login process into your Google account.

What you need to do is to delete your saved Google login details.


Go to “settings”, “accounts and sync”. At “manage accounts”, you should see your e-mail address. Click on it and from the next page, click on “remove account”. If it doesn’t work, restart your phone and try again.

That circle from the right side of your e-mail address should be turned green.

Make sure that you have “background data” and “auto-sync” enabled.

Keep trying even if you have to restart your phone for a few times.

The last resort is to try to replace the sim card (if you are using a smartphone).
