Razer Game Booster is a free software from Razer that improves the performance for PC games.
You can download the software from here.
You don’t need to own a Razer peripheral or device in order to use the software.
It can be very useful for games that are consuming a lot of resources, like the latest Wolfenstein: The New Order or Divinity: Original Sin. I’ve noticed a considerable improvement regarding the performance when running these games from the Razer Game Booster client.
You don’t really need it for WoW, DotA 2, LoL etc. And mostly if you run any of these games with other things running on your PC like YouTube, maybe Hearthstone on another monitor.
Razer Game Booster is enabling the Windows updates after you install it.
That’s why you need to turn them off, right away.
For Windows 7 and Windows 8, Start > write in the search bar “Update” and click on “Windows update”. Click the icon. From the next window, click on “Change Settings” and then set “Never check for updates”.
Be sure to do all these before restarting or shutting down your PC.
Running the Windows updates can damage your operating system.
