ATI Radeon kernel mode driver blue screen?

I had this bad luck to update my ATI Catalyst driver to a newer version and my PC encountered some serious issues.

It started to give blue screens when Windows was starting, saying something there about “ati hd.sys”. It was obviously a driver related issue.

The only thing that I could do to repair my PC was to install a fresh Windows.

I’ve tried to uninstall the video card from “device manager”, remove it from the PCI slot, tried a Windows restore point, a driver roll-back. Updating the driver once again, installing an older driver. Nothing really worked.

All I could do was to enter in save mode.

If you have this issue, you should install a new Windows, it only takes around 1 hour. If you have other suggestions, please leave in the comments.
